Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals and Disease Susceptibility

December 11th, 2014, in Toxin Exposure and Long-Term Consequences

Environmental chemicals can have a significant impact on our biological systems. Chemical exposures, especially during early stages of development, can disrupt normal patterns of development, which can dramatically alter disease susceptibility. Endocrine disrupting chemicals interfere with the body's endocrine system and produce adverse developmental, reproductive, neurological, cardiovascular, metabolic and immune effects.
